YGG Token Arrives on Ronin Network: A Revolutionary Step for One of the Largest Web3 Gaming Guilds

In an innovative development for the web3 gaming community, Sky Mavis and Ronin Network have given the green light for the launch of the YGG token on the network. The long-awaited debut of the YGG token took place on Thursday, March 21, 2024. This strategic move aims to strengthen the network by attracting players and games to its thriving ecosystem. As part of this initiative, YGG tokens will be distributed to wallets participating in RON staking on the YGG validator.

The collaboration between YGG and Sky Mavis, rooted in a history of partnership and mutual influence within the web3 gaming space, underscores a shared commitment to driving the industry forward. This integration allows the community to seamlessly navigate between Ronin games and the YGG platform without the need for complex bridge mechanisms, facilitating YGG players' access to their tokens.

Jeff "Jihoz" Zirlin, co-founder and Growth Director of Sky Mavis, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating: “YGG and Ronin are inexorably linked. From the early days of our mission, we have shared values and a central community. Integrating the YGG token into Ronin is the next natural step in our shared journey. The exponential growth of the Ronin network over the past year is nothing short of remarkable, with 22 validators, including YGG. Currently, Ronin has over 100,000 delegators, with a total stake exceeding 187 million RON tokens across these validators.

Games within the Ronin ecosystem are also gaining substantial traction. Following their migration to Ronin, YGG's gaming partner, Pixels, experienced a rapid increase in daily active users (DAU) to over 130,000, becoming the first web3 game on Ronin to achieve such a milestone since Axie Infinity. Pixels has surpassed 500,000 DAU and reached 1 million monthly active users (MAU), indicating a rising engagement rate. Other games on Ronin, such as Apeiron and Wild Forest, are also gaining momentum. Alongside the migration of major projects like CyberKongz, these developments underscore the platform's growing influence in web3 gaming.

Eligibility Criteria for YGG Token Airdrop Distribution

Once active on Ronin, the YGG token will be transferable from Ethereum to Ronin and vice versa. A snapshot was taken of wallets participating in RON token staking through the YGG validator on March 11, 2024, 11:59 p.m. Based on this data, 1,376,579 YGG tokens will be distributed to 8,861 eligible wallets.

Delegators staking at least 1 RON token with YGG at 11:59 p.m. on March 11, 2024, UTC, when the snapshot was taken, will qualify to receive YGG tokens. The amount of tokens distributed will be determined by the amount of RON staked and will be organized based on the duration of the stake. Wallets associated with RON tokens staked before January 1, 2024, will receive a 10% Loyalty Bonus, while those who staked before June 1, 2023, will receive a 20% True Believer Bonus.

Additionally, the YGG token will be listed on Katana, Ronin's native decentralized exchange, facilitating liquidity pairs with other tokens from the Ronin ecosystem. The YGG/RON pair will join prominent pairs on Katana such as WETH/RON, USDC/RON, AXS/RON, SLP/WETH, PIXEL/RON, and BANANA/RON. Holding YGG tokens will grant the Ronin community access to special token-gated missions for Ronin games and may also qualify users for future airdrop distributions and other exclusive benefits.
